Media imports

Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Photos, and Unsplash in the media library

Nimply's media library, /media page, and post composer share an import-source button: pick a source once and it stays your default; the dropdown switches between sources. All of them respect your plan's storage and upload quotas, and none of them require setup in Nimply's settings — you authorize each pick directly with the provider.

Google Drive

Click Import from Google Drive, sign in with Google, and pick images or videos in the Drive window (multi-select supported). Nimply can only read the specific files you pick — never your whole Drive (Google's drive.file scope). Transfers run directly from your browser to Nimply's storage; file contents never pass through our servers.

OneDrive

Same flow with Microsoft's file picker — sign in with a Microsoft account, pick photos/videos, and they upload straight from your browser. Only the files you pick are ever accessible; no account connection is stored.

Dropbox

Dropbox's Chooser popup: pick images or videos and they import via time-limited download links, browser-to-storage. Nothing is stored about your Dropbox account.

Google Photos

Picking opens a Google Photos tab (Google's Picker — the only access Google permits third parties): select photos or videos there, click Done, and back in Nimply your picks import automatically. Nimply can only ever see the items you picked in that session — never your photo library.

Unsplash

Built-in stock photo search — no account needed. Search millions of free photos, click one to import. Photos are provided under the Unsplash License (free for commercial use); each imported photo keeps its photographer credit on the asset page.

Notes

  • Who can import: any workspace member except viewers.
  • Where files go: imports become normal media assets — tag them, attach them to posts, track usage, exactly like uploads.
  • Originals are never modified in the source service; Nimply only reads what you pick.
