Connect Nimply to ChatGPT as a custom connector
Draft, schedule, and analyze your social content from a ChatGPT conversation.
Connect
Custom connectors require a plan with connector support and developer mode enabled (Settings → Connectors → Advanced).
- Open Settings → Connectors → Create (or Add custom connector).
- Enter the MCP server URL:
https://mcp.nimply.io/mcp - Choose OAuth when asked about authentication. ChatGPT discovers Nimply's authorization server automatically.
- Log in to Nimply, pick the workspace, review permissions, and click Allow access.
- Enable the connector in a chat (some plans require picking it under Tools).

- "Plan a 5-post content series about our product launch and save them as drafts in Nimply."
- "What's my total follower count across channels, and how did engagement trend this month?"
Troubleshooting
- Connector option missing — developer mode isn't enabled, or your plan doesn't include custom connectors.
- Authorization loop — make sure third-party cookies aren't blocked for the login window, then reconnect.
- Tool calls denied — the approved permission set doesn't cover the action; remove the connector and reconnect approving the fuller set.
